Principal's Message

Welcome to the 2025–26 School Year!

I hope everyone enjoyed a summer filled with rest, fun, and memorable moments. As we begin this new school year at George McDougall High School, I am excited to welcome back our students and families, and extend a warm greeting to those who are joining us for the first time.

This year marks an important transition for our school as we officially move to a Grade 10–12 high school. While change brings new challenges, it also offers opportunities for growth and renewal. Together with our outstanding staff, I am committed to ensuring this is a year filled with meaningful learning and strong connections.

Our school goals for 2025–26 will focus on supporting literacy and numeracy, preparing future-ready students, and fostering inclusive, engaging, and healthy learning opportunities for all. Achieving these goals requires collaboration, and we deeply value the partnership we share with parents and guardians in supporting student success.

It is an honour to serve as Acting Principal while Mr. Bloxham is on leave, and I am grateful to work alongside Ms. Brown and Ms. Chaussé, who will be serving as Acting Assistant Principal. Together with our entire Mustang staff, we look forward to a rewarding year ahead.

Welcome back, Mustangs — let’s make this year an exceptional one!
